A Shelf Too High (Mina/Bert)
« on: October 22, 2019, 01:04:26 AM »
When Mina had been tasked to clean one of the storerooms, she thought it would only take an hour or so. She had been wrong. The room was packed to the seams with boxes and crates filled with rags, papers, and more. It had taken Mina a solid half an hour to even clear a path and now she was trying to formulate an actual cleaning plan. Did she want to clear more the boxes and crates on the floor or did she want to start working on the shelves?

Mina sat down on one of the crates, resting her chin in one hand and absently playing with one of her braids in the other. Some of the piles of well...basically trash...were as tall as she was. Not that that was terribly impressive. But still. She wondered when the last time this room had been actually used as storage. Not anytime recently - Mina was sure of that. She sighed and stood back up. Plan. What was her plan?

Okay. Shelves first. There were a few empty barrels she could use as trash bins. Cleaning the shelves would make room for the stuff on the floor that was not going to be thrown away. That seemed like a good enough plan.

She knew she needed to start at the top and work her way down. With a grunt, Mina began to climb up and toss things old rags and paper onto the ground. The shelving unit wiggled a little as Mina moved around on in. It was very dusty and Mina sneezed - losing her footing a bit and giving a little squeak of surprise.
