  • Puffin: Hi there fleetingthoughts! I've been meaning to drop you a message, I really enjoyed Paula's app and her artwork is beautiful. :) I definitely recommend joining the Discord server, if it's something that appeals to you. There are quite a few plotting channels, etc. there that can help with getting some threads started.

  • fleetingthoughts: Hello! I hope I'm not being too nosy if I ask this, but do you guys usually discuss more on your discord server? Because I am willing to get more involved into this website and I don't really know how to (except for commenting on plotters lol), so I thought I could join your discord server as well if that's alright with you all :)

Season 2: Year 846
« on: August 04, 2017, 12:14:29 PM »

Wall Maria remains lost to mankind.  Out there, bones bleach in the sun and the rumble of Titan footsteps is never far away.  The responsibility of reclaiming the lost territory sits squarely on the shoulders of the Survey Corps, weighing heavy on the shoulders of Commander Erwin and his subordinates.  Many lives have been lost in the effort to monitor the Titan population, to assess the crumbling infrastructure and, most importantly of all, to reach Wall Maria itself.

Within Wall Rose, the reputation of the Garrison Regiment remains largely unchanged.  Some soldiers apply themselves to their duties with more rigour and care, fearing that they may one day be called on to defend humanity's stronghold.  But their efforts are undermined by those who are confident that lightning will not strike twice, by those content to drink and gamble their days away.  Quietly, the Military Police seeks to increase its control and influence over Garrison members.

Along with the nobility and the royals, the Military Police continue to live a comfortable existence.  Its junior soldiers are burdened with the majority of the workload, while its senior members benefit from their productivity.  Beneath them, the lives of civilians can vary depending on the region, their employment and social standing.  The depraved continue to starve in the streets, begging for food and coin.  Some scrape by, their living enough to see them fed.  Others, particularly those merchants whose wares are sold to the military, find themselves prosperous and - with every sale and success - their influence and social clout burgeons.

The Training Corps have been uprooted from their barracks near Trost District, and are now based a short distance away from Krolva District.  Their training has been intense but, with working in the fields no longer an option, they are forced to endure.  In this fire of adversity, friendships and bonds are being formed that will last them well into their military careers.  Desertion is punished severely, discouraging cadets from fleeing their responsibilities.

In all corners of the social stratum, there are a small, solemn few who have begun to wonder... are the Titans truly monsters, hellbent on keeping humanity in its cage?  Or are they in fact gods, angered and jilted by those who ought to worship them? « Last Edit: December 29, 2017, 12:51:07 PM by Puffin »
